SILVER-EYE POLL

So far so good with my dozen PM dolls including some dating back to 1986. I wonder if that has anything to do with them being kept for the most part in a dressing room turned doll room that doesn't have any windows.

Does anyone know if exposure to sunlight is a cause of silver eye?

I don't have any PM dolls, but I'm always checking my dolls for silver eye anyway.

I have a PM Josefina with one silver eye and a PM Kirsten with a bubble eye.
Both need a trip to the hospital that I have been putting off FOREVER.
I want to get their eyes fixed so I can sell them...even though I don't really want to sell...

I had a Molly that had silver eye and it looks like Annalia has it. So far with Annalia it doesn't look bad, so I don't plan on sending her to the hospital yet.

I have 4 PM dolls and none of them have silver eye.

Six of my dolls are PM, and so far none of them have come down with silver eye. (At least, they hadn't the last time I checked... *sudden urge to double check*)

Does anyone know if there's anything in particular that causes silver eye?

Almost all of the 20+ dolls we have (between my daughters and I--bitties included) are PM, and we have only had silver eye happen to one--my oldest daughter's brown eyed bitty baby.

It does seem to me like this condition happens a whole lot more, at least from what I've read here, with the brown eyed dolls.

Has anyone had it happen to a doll that is not brown eyed?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Kisten and Molly also get it alot. I think it's just less notiable on them so people really don't see it until it gets really bad.

The hazel eyes, green eyes, and Samantha's eyes are all decal, so they really CAN'T get it. They can get bubbles or cloudiness but not full blown silver eye.
